6 Years Later

A long, long time ago
I can still remember how
our company led the way.

And I knew if we had our chance
my team could make those browsers dance
as our code got better every day.

But that Autumn it made me shiver
when I heard how it was delivered:
A list of names upon the whiteboard,
If yours weren't there you were shown the door.

I think that's when I first realized
that freedoms' cost was much to high.

Yet something touched me deep inside
the day the magic died.

At this point, you either know what I'm talking about or your don't. I'll leave it to you to figure out; I don't have anything else to say about this topic.

Gravatar Image1 - Oh yes. 111 Pine Street, San Francisco, CA. Financial District. A hop, skip and a jump from the Transamerica Pyramid. Served 9 months of duty out of that office until I was recruited into the Phoenix, AZ office. I do miss the magic that ended with that company a few years later. And yes, Spanky, the price of Freedom was too high.

We started singing...
Bye Bye...Lotus Domino Guys.
